Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Mayor Kip Holden’s Youth Advisory Council teamed up with BREC earlier today to get local youngsters out for a day of healthy fun. Teens with the youth advisory council challenged their peers in the community, to jump, dance, and side-step their way to a healthier life style. These kids also participated in cleanup projects around Scotlandville Park. “They’re talking about what can I do to better my community, and today they’re demonstrating that we can go out and touch people, and let them know what’s going on, and make sure we have a big hand in making people healthy,” said Mayor-President, Kip Holden.
